We specialize in the development and industrialization of hydrogen infrastructure solutions for the energy transition. In particular, EIFHYTEC develops non-mechanical hydrogen compressors for the conditioning of green hydrogen and hydrogen refueling stations. EIFHYTEC has launched an R&D program aimed at optimizing existing solutions and developing new products.

Job Description

EIFHYTEC is looking for an intern to create a client interface (UI/UX) to visualize real-time data from machines installed at various clients and partners throughout Europe. The tool will also be used to perform historical data analysis and to establish technical-economic performance indicators. The intern will work in close collaboration with the production and maintenance team. The intern’s missions will include:

  • Bibliographic analysis of existing solutions
  • Creation of the database from files created by the machine controllers.
    • – Preparation of the data server (collection, structuring, storage, etc.).
    • – Use of historical data and data received in real time.
  • Creation of a graphical interface
    • – Visualization and interaction via “Grafana” or equivalent to display the real-time status and data history.
    • – Creation of user and administrator accounts for each project.
  • Adaptation of the tool to different devices (tablet, smartphone, laptop)

Type of contract: Internship contract

Location: Haguenau.

Duration of the internship: 5-6 months

Salary/gratification: ~€950 gross / month

Profile

We are looking for a student with a background in web programming or similar (Master’s 2, final year of engineering school, or any other level of training compatible with the internship subject), with knowledge of “back-end” and “front-end” development. The student is looking for an internship where they can apply their technical and transversal skills.

We are looking for a student who is passionate about energy transition issues as a whole, but also able to get involved with rigor and consistency in the technical development of high-tech components.

The student must demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and a strong ability to take initiative within a small structure where the involvement of each person counts.

Given the European dimension of the team, an excellent command of English is mandatory and knowledge of German is desired.

Job Description

EIFHYTEC is looking for a Production and Maintenance Technician to strengthen the production team. The main responsibilities include:

  • Participation in the production activities of hydrogen compressors in the workshop based on the plans issued by the engineering department:
    • Manufacturing of gas panels: cutting, bending, welding, machining, assembly and installation.
    • Manufacturing, assembly, and installation of thermal and mechanical components.
    • Assembly and installation of low-voltage electrical cabinets.
    • Various workshop handling tasks.
  • Occasional contributions to the design of new machines in support of the engineering department.
  • Testing of prototypes in the workshop.
  • Consultation with suppliers for daily production needs (equipment rental, purchase and maintenance of tools and machines, procurement of supplies and safety equipment), order placement and follow-up.
  • Participation in the testing and certification processes of EIFHYTEC machines.
  • Management and upkeep of the production workshops.
  • Contribution to the drafting of technical reports and documentation.
  • Participation in equipment commissioning activities at customer sites in France and across Europe.
  • Carrying out maintenance operations on compressors, panels and other hydrogen system components at customer sites.

Contract type: Permanent contract (CDI), 39 hours per week

Salary: To be defined based on experience.

Location: Haguenau (25 minutes from Strasbourg). Frequent travel in France and occasional travel in Europe.

Profile

We are looking for a candidate with a BTS, DUT, or professional bachelor’s degree in mechanics, metalworking, electricity, industrial maintenance, or any other relevant technical field. Atypical profiles (self-taught candidates, career changes) are also welcome, provided they demonstrate a strong technical interest and motivation to build new skills. Continuous training will be offered to the selected candidate.

The candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills (listening, empathy, teamwork), autonomy, and the ability to take initiative within a small structure where everyone’s contribution matters. A genuine passion for technical and industrial challenges is essential.

Given the European dimension of the team, good French and English skills are strongly desired. Knowledge of German is a plus.

EIFHYTEC is looking for a Business Development Engineer for the development and commercialization of its innovative hydrogen compressors. Working in close collaboration with the Production Director, the Engineering Department, and the President, the main responsibilities include:

  • Project management: engineering studies and pre-commercial demonstrations.
  • Managing relationships with partners and clients, including contract follow-up.
  • Drafting and/or actively contributing to deliverables.
  • Managing relationships with key suppliers: drafting specifications, commercial negotiation, and contract follow-up.
  • Active participation in the establishment and development of industrial partnerships and business development, including:
    • Participation in national and European working groups.
    • Participation in industrial fairs, conferences, and professional events.
  • Contributing to the industrialization strategy of innovative products:
    • Defining the cost structure (“bill of materials”).
    • Identifying strategic suppliers.
    • Contributing to the development of production automation strategies.
    • Contributing to the design of the future production plant.

Due to the industrial nature of EIFHYTEC’s activities, involvement in the company’s technical tasks is desirable to reinforce the Business Development Engineer’s legitimacy with partners. This involvement may include:

  • Contributing to the 3D design of the compressor and its subsystems.
  • Contributing to the development of calculation notes (thermal, mechanical, energy-related, etc.).
  • Drafting technical and commercial documentation.

Position Description

The energy performance of compressors plays a major role in the efficiency and techno‑economic viability of the hydrogen value chain. EIFHYTEC is looking for an engineering apprentice to analyze in detail the performance of its thermochemical compressors in operation and identify sources of energy optimization across several dimensions. The apprentice will work in close collaboration with the engineering department to successfully carry out these missions. The main tasks include:

  • Analysis and processing of compressor operating data from hydrogen installations.
  • Generation of performance charts based on key criteria (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow rate).
  • Identification of energy optimization opportunities at various levels (thermal insulation, auxiliary consumption, subsystem sizing, etc.).
  • Contribution to the design, development, and assembly of thermal hydrogen compressors.
  • Drafting and execution of test campaigns on innovative heat‑exchange technologies.
  • Communication with EIFHYTEC’s partners and suppliers.
  • Carrying out techno‑economic analyses.
  • Optimization of existing heat exchangers.
  • Participation in one or more industrial trade fairs related to the hydrogen sector.

Profile

We are looking for a student enrolled in an engineering program with a specialization in energy engineering or equivalent. The student must be in the first year of a Master’s or engineering program and seeking a 2‑ or 3‑year apprenticeship during which they can apply their technical and transversal skills.

We are seeking a student passionate about energy transition topics as a whole, but also capable of engaging rigorously and consistently in the technical development of high‑value technological components.

The student must have solid knowledge in energy engineering (heat transfer, energy balances). Knowledge in mechanics/materials would be an asset. They must demonstrate strong autonomy and initiative within a small team where everyone’s involvement is essential.

Given the European dimension of the team, excellent proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of German would be a plus.
