Company Presentation

EIFHYTEC is an independent, French and European industrial company, located in Strasbourg and Haguenau, in Northern Alsace. We specialize in the development and industrialization of hydrogen infrastructure solutions for the energy transition. In particular, EIFHYTEC develops non-mechanical hydrogen compressors for green hydrogen conditioning and hydrogen refueling stations. EIFHYTEC has launched an R&D program aimed at optimizing existing solutions and developing new products.

Job Description

As part of an internal project to refuel small hydrogen vehicles, EIFHYTEC is launching a study to integrate a gaseous hydrogen production method. Its integration into the already existing facility, and in particular its coupling with a thermal compressor, will be at the heart of the development. EIFHYTEC is looking for an engineering intern to study the implementation of this gaseous hydrogen production solution in an existing distribution facility on its premises. The intern will work in close collaboration with the design office and the production department to carry out their missions. Their missions will include in particular:

  • A state-of-the-art review of existing production solutions (e.g. electrolyzers)
  • Discussions with suppliers of hydrogen production solutions
  • Carrying out techno-economic analyses
  • Choice of the technology to be implemented, in collaboration with an engineer from the design office, based on technical and economic criteria
  • Processing of data from existing compression installations: energy balance, performance, kinetics, etc.
  • 3D design of the production and distribution facility
  • Depending on the progress of the project: ordering the selected production solution, installation and commissioning followed by a campaign of refueling tests
  • Contribution to the company’s other hydrogen compressor design and production activities
