<p>Earlier this week, EIFHYTEC and its European partners started the DESIREE project. Supported by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and co-funded by the European Union, DESIREE aims at developing and validating a more efficient, durable and cost-effective solid oxide electrolysis (SOEL) system for scalable renewable hydrogen production. The project includes partners from Spain, Germany, Finland, Italy, Belgium and France, and is coordinated by the Spanish R&amp;D institution “Centro Nacional de Energías Renovables” (CENER). In the frame of DESIREE, a thermochemical compressor developed by EIFHYTEC will be coupled to a SOEC electrolyser to improve the overall efficiency of hydrogen production &amp; compression.</p>

<p>EIFHYTEC received today the Hy-Fcell Award 2025 in the category “Products and Markets” for its thermochemical hydrogen compression solutions. The Award ceremony took place in Stuttgart, Germany, in the frame of the “Hy-Fcell”, a well-known international trade fair and conference for hydrogen and fuel cell technology. The award is handed out by a prestigious jury of renowned experts in the hydrogen sector. &nbsp;</p>



<p>EIFHYTEC’s CEO was interviewed by the German hydrogen magazine Hzwei after the ceremony.    </p>

<p>The EU funded project COSMHYC DEMO is the 2<sup>nd</sup> place winner of the Award of Excellence of the IEA Hydrogen Technology Collaboration Programme (TCP) ! <p>In the frame of the EU funded project COSMHYC DEMO, EIFHYTEC and its partners have inaugurated an innovative hydrogen refueling station (HRS) in Sorigny, France. The HRS is equipped with a metal hydride compressor developed and built by EIFHYTEC, able to compress hydrogen from 30 bar to 450 bar, enabling to fill 350 bar vehicles, as well as hydrogen trailers. The compressor is a CE-certified product from the “L-family” commercialised by EIFHYTEC for HRS and filling centers.</p>

<p>EIFHYTEC is pleased to announce its participation in European Hydrogen Week 2024, to take place from November 18th to 21st in Brussels. This influential fair brings together key industry players, hydrogen end-users, policymakers, and innovators across Europe to promote the latest advances in hydrogen technology, a vital component of the EU&#8217;s transition to clean energy.</p>

<p>As part of this year’s program, EIFHYTEC will be featured in the Start-up Area of H2ub, Europe’s leading Open Innovation Platform for the entire hydrogen value chain. Located in Hall 7 at Stand J30, H2ub’s Start-up Area will host 20 pioneering start-ups developing novel solutions within the hydrogen sector.</p>



<p>At the European Hydrogen Week, EIFHYTEC will present its product portfolio, emphasizing its <strong>innovative thermochemical hydrogen compression technology</strong>. This solution offers unique benefits, including silent operation, high hydrogen purity, low maintenance costs, and high operational flexibility. Moreover, the system can utilize waste heat as an energy source, reducing electricity consumption. EIFHYTEC’s offerings include:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong><a href="https://eifhytec.com/large-h2-compressors/">L-Type Compressors</a></strong> – Suited for a broad range of applications, including hydrogen refueling stations, gas filling centers, hydrogen injection into the natural gas network, and various industrial uses.</li>



<li><strong><a href="https://eifhytec.com/small-h2-compressors/">S-Type Compressors</a></strong> – Designed for lower-flow applications, such as demonstration projects, hydrogen research facilities, and installations in remote locations, such as island communities.</li>
</ul>



<p>In addition to compression solutions, EIFHYTEC will also highlight its expertise in designing, manufacturing, and testing <a href="https://eifhytec.com/gas-panels/"><strong>gas panels</strong> tailored for hydrogen installations</a>. These panels are available in a range of configurations or can be customized to meet specific client requirements.</p>

<p>The two companies, leaders in their respective fields, are pooling their expertise to improve the efficiency, reliability and cost of hydrogen compression by deploying this breakthrough technology on a large scale. By tackling this major bottleneck in the hydrogen value chain, Hype and EIFHYTEC will accelerate the deployment of this energy carrier, which is essential to the development of low-carbon mobility.&nbsp;</p>



<p>EIFHYTEC&#8217;s non-mechanical compressors are characterised by their reliability, energy efficiency and absence of noise disturbance.</p>



<p>As part of this project, the pressure and flow rate will be significantly increased to meet the specifications of Hype, which will integrate a first new-generation compressor into its green hydrogen distribution infrastructure. Use in real-life conditions will enable us to validate the maturity of this technology and prepare for the deployment of this solution in Hype stations.</p>
